| Good morning and welcome.
Remember the good ole days when it became "imperitive" that you got your 8 milimeter film transferred to video tape? Well, we have come full circle and now the video tapes that have served you so well over these many years are now growing old, rather rapidly. Contrary to popular belief, your video tapes are NOT PERMANENT STORAGE! All videotapes lose quality with age. As the tapes degrade and picture quality drops, it is "too late" to restore image and sound back to its original condition. However, once images and audio of your videotapes are transferred to DVD, they will not degrade. You may notice that scenes from a 15 year-old VHS videotape, which were once clear and bright, are now loosing their color and are fuzzy to view. The sound may not be as clear as it once was. Most of us believe that a videotape will preserve our cherished family memories for a lifetime. Unfortunately, that is not the case. According to industry experts, video tapes maintain their original quality for an average of only TEN years and this number can vary greatly depending on the storage conditions of the video tape and playback frequency, but most industry experts predict that magnetic tape will have a useful life of five to twenty years, with some videos becoming completely unwatchable in as little as fifteen years! Like many of life`s little problems, the degrading process of video tape may start slowly, but it is continuous and the outcome is certain. On the other hand, the life expectancy of a DVD is 100+ years, with no decrease in quality no matter how many times it is played. If you want to continue to share your favorite memories with your children and your grandchildren, we recommend converting your tapes to DVD format as soon as possible. If you are like most people, you don't watch your old video tapes as often as you would like because it is too much of a hassle or your VCR has played it`s last tape or your trusty video camera, now used to play those tapes, has disappeared. A definite "side benefit" of transferring your video tapes to DVD is the ability to integrating them into your media system. This, of course makes them easily "watchable!" Duplicates of the DVDs are all the same..... No loss in quality from one to the other and we can make duplicates of your new DVDs, so you can share them with family and friends. Once again, a side benefit is, a duplicate copy, stored at a different location, may serve as a backup copy to protect you against the loss of your memories, should anything happen to your original DVD's.So, it becomes a "No Brainer" to get those video tapes transferred to DVDs ASAP!
